Nevertheless, I wanted my students to see that writing can become a gift in their lives, just like it was to Anne. Some students chose happy events like visiting Disneyworld, and others chose a more serious event like a car accident. Students have to essentially write about an event they experienced, just like Anne penned two years of her life.
